After receiving a BA degree in English Literature at Newcastle University, Giulietta moved to New York to study at the International Center of Photography. Graduating from ICP, she worked as photographer and assistant to the Photo Editor at the Village Voice, America’s largest weekly newspaper. Giulietta also worked as Assistant Black and White Printer to Master Printer Teresa Engle Moreno, working with negatives by such photographers as Robert Capa, Bruce Davidson, Andreas Feininger and Ted Croner.
During four months in the Philippines in 2007, Giulietta taught photography to children and adults at Foto Baryo. Her stay culminated in curating a show of her students’ work, Sa Ating Paningin – Through Our Eyes. This work was then displayed in 2008 as part of a larger show FOTO BARYO at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Giulietta is currently based in London, running her Photographic Production company Fovea Pictures. Her personal work presently focuses on a long-term documentary in North Ronaldsay, the furthest northern island in Orkney. She currenlyhas a solo show of this on-going documentary at Rich Mix, Mezzanine Gallery, London.
Giulietta welcomes assignments both in the UK and abroad.
